I used Wordfast Pro on a project. The client now wants the files in SDLXLIFF format. There are 29 files and 15000 words. How can I create SDLXLIFFs from the TM/TMX? [/quote]
It can't be done in WFP3/4. SDLXLIFF files are created from the original files (e.g. if you originally had 29 DOCX files, you have to open those 29 DOCX files in Trados 2009+ to convert them to SDLXLIFF files). If the client wanted SDLXLIFF files, they should have specified it from the start.
WFP3/4 can't create SDXLIFF files, but WFP3 can translate SDLXLIFF files (sort of), so you can ask the client to create the untranslated SDLXLIFF files for you, and then you can open them in WFP and re-translate them against the TM. There will be some tag differences, but you should be able to re-use most of the TM. The client may then be able to use those SDLXLIFF files.
