First question (sorry, I have to ask this): how many segments are in your BTM?

And while we're at it, did you try it with the previous version of WFC and did you experience the same problem?

Much appreciated: it's a big BTM with about 7000 entries, and no, I didn't have this issue with older versions of Wordfast.

Well, if older demo versions worked with a BTM of 7000 TUs, then you were just lucky. The demo version is [url= [url removed] ]typically limited[/url] to something less than 7000 TUs (although the developer had admitted that it is not always a hard limit, depending on various factors). The demo limit of 1000 TUs usually apply per TM (so a BTM of 900 segments along with an active TM of 900 segments should still be within the demo's limits).

Right click on the TM Lookup label and uncheck Detached.

Good morning.
I'm using the trial version of Wordfast Classic and I have a problem with glossaries. When I insert 2 glossaries, the "This glossary is active" checkboxes for both glossaries are checked, but once the settings have been saved the glossaries are not active and the "This glossary is active" boxes no longer have a check mark. What’s the problem?

1. Which version of WFC are you using?
2. Which version of Word are you using?
3. Try this: whenever you change any setting in the WFC Control Panel, click the "x" to close it and save it. In other words, don't change several settings and only then click the "x", but click the "x" whenever you want to change settings on any other tab.

Bilingual export/import errors

I did a bilingual export and the document had several missing segments (even if the translation was all completed, saved and committed.

I then filled the missing information and proofread the whole thing.

Next, I did a bilingual import and nothing of the changes made were implemented...

What happened?

Hi Itziar
I do the following to add terms to the glossary:
- I highlight both source and target term
- press CMD+ALT+T
Terms are saved to the glossary.
I'm on a Mac but on a PC using CTRL+ALT+T selecting both terms should give the same result.

I still use this method sometimes (especially when I want to add a translation that is not currently written in the target field). I use WFC 6.03t.`

This would not work in my version of WFC, because in MS Word one can only highlight (i.e. select) one piece of text at a time. Which version of WFC and Word are you using, that allows you to do this?
