Post title: Wordfast with wine on Debian 64bit?

64-bit Linux sports a 64-bit Java VM, whereas Windows 7 provides only 32-bit Java, even if Windows itself is 64-bit. I know this because I am a Linux 64-bit user myself, and my workaround is to run WF on Windows in a VirtualBox, or alternatively to use the WINE emulator, which also provides 32-bit Java!

How are you getting this to work?
I'm trying now on Debian 7, AMD64, and it "runs", but I get a blank window. I had to install the 32bit wine, because 64bit would not run it.
The installer ran fine, and when I start it, I see the splash screen, but then WFP just basically greys out the screen.

It might also help the adaptation of WF if there were Debian and Red Hat packages prepared and submitted to the appropriate repositories (Ubuntu, at least, comprises one repository for closed-source software).[/quote]
Yeah, this will never be in an official Debian repo, of course.
