Dear Katalin,
We changed it because we received feedback indicating that most notes were "question" as opposed to "text" notes. When you try to please everyone, you end up pleasing no one I guess!

PS - How do you use the three qualifiers? Is the "text" note for you a comment you want to share with the editor or PM? What about "important"?
