Post title: a correct method of WfC TM editing
In the TM-Gloss editor, there are 4 (four) lines with "Mark redundant TUs".
You most surely want to preserve just the very latest TM strings, those used in the final translated text. For this option, the lines "Mark redundant TUs (same source+attributes" and "Mark redundant TUs (same source+target+attributes", are important. I have to say that in the latest WfC version, the "Mark redundant TUs (same source+attributes" works in the best way, while in previous versions, even using "Mark redundant TUs (same source+target+attributes", besides being a bit incomprehensible, did an excellent job.
"Attributes" are very important part of WfC tm-s. If you hold one single BTM with various attributes for the very same source term, "a medicine" for example, after cleaning the BTM with Mark redundant TUs (same source+attributes", you'll preserve TM strings with the same source, but with different attributes (clients' names, category, etc.). If you don't set any atribute, after cleaning with Mark redundant TUs (same source+attributes", you'll end up with the latest translated segment for the "a medicine", because WfC will use just the most updated date for it. So you need not cleaning them "visually".
After cleaning in the said way, you should "compact" the TM with the lower command "Repair and compact TM"
As for the shortcut command for deleting, the first step command is "Ctrl+X" (soft), and for final deleting "Ctrl+Del", and then compacting of the TM follows under "Repair and compact".
