Hi Jim,
CAT tools (including Wordfast) do not translate anything, they are not machine/automatic translators.
They simply assist you - they memorise your translations and glossaries.
If you want something automatic, you can connect to an MT service (e.g. google translator), pay for their API key, and then use it in e.g. Wordfast.
