Topic: Context search in Wordfast Classic 5.53q / Office 2002 / Windows XP has suddenly stopped working

Hello everyone,
I'm hoping that someone can help me with a problem that's recently cropped up.
I'm using Wordfast Classic 5.53q with Word 2002 and Windows XP. I was having no problems at all. However, the Context Search tool has suddenly simply stopped working. Whatever I ask it, it returns an answer of "No contexts found for xxx", even when I know very well that the word / phrase in question has previously occurred and even when I can find it and see it there, clear as day, if I open the TM in Notepad. It's not just a question of one TM, either; it happens with every TM I use, old and new alike.
This happens when I use the Context Search icon on the Wordfast toolbar. On the kind advice of a friend, I've also tried to carry out a context search via the keyboard shortcut route (Control+Alt+C). When I do that, the word / phrase in question is turned into the Polish ć (c with a left-right accent over it). This happens no matter whether I use the right Alt or the left in the combination, although only the left Alt provides me with the Polish diacritics normally.
I haven't changed any settings at all, neither in Wordfast nor in Word, so I have no idea why this has suddenly occurred. The only thing that's changed is that, in September, I renewed my licence and the problem began after that. I didn't download anything, I simply renewed the licence, but could that have had any bearing on the sudden emergence of the problem?
I'm slowly moving over to a different computer and Windows 7, although the move is somewhat hampered by the fact that it keeps rejecting Wordfast as a virus ... I have Security Essentials installed there. But that's an issue for a different thread, I guess.
However, until the move is complete, this lack of context search is quite a problem ... and anyway, I would like to be able to use the current computer as a back-up in the future. So I really do need to try and solve the issue.
Can anyone help ... please?
With sincere and hopeful thanks in advance,
Caryl
